Sarah Kate finally learned to dive today. The pic isn't great - only so much you can do with an iPhone indoors and an action shot. It was a big accomplishment, though.

Day 177 - Three Stars

As you might have noticed if you've been following me this week, I've been doing Sigma Kappa stuff. :)  Our collegiate leadership conference, (College Officer Training School, or COTS) ended today.  The photo above is of the women from the Theta Xi chapter at Auburn University (i.e., my alma mater) winning the Three Star Standards of Excellence Award.  Three Stars is the highest level given to any collegiate award.  I was so proud of them!

Day 174 - Train the Trainer

I'm in Indianapolis - sans the family - until Sunday for Sigma Kappa's College Officer Training School (COTS). Today, my friend Karyn Sneath led a session of Train the Trainer for our volunteers.

I've been trying to get this kid to hold his bottle and/or a sippy cup for months to no avail.  He loves straws, so I bought some cups with straws to try - he took to it like he'd been doing it his whole life.

He did the same thing with finger feeding - he wouldn't do it until I put a Peep on his tray.  Then he was motivated.
