Day 78 - Morning in Atlanta

Nathan woke up before dawn and I put him in the bed with me rather than get up and risk waking my sister and the kids. Now I'm surfing the web on my iPad with this beautiful sight next to me.

Day 71 - Eight Years

On the eve of my baby boy's first birthday, I decided to post a photo of his sister.  I didn't shoot this today (obviously), but I thought it would be fun to pull it out and spend a little time with Lightroom and Photoshop Elements. I like the way it turned out.

P.S.  Her fingers still look exactly like this...

Day 64 - Maids of Jubilee

Contrary to popular belief, New Orleans is not the only place that celebrates Mardi Gras.  In fact, Mobile, Alabama, was the first to do so and actually celebrated Mardi Gras before NOLA was a city.  Many small towns along the Gulf Coast from Louisiana to the panhandle of Florida celebrate Mardi Gras, as well - and it's a much calmer, more family-friendly atmosphere.

Day 62 - Cat-Man-Do

Our other child.  We got him when Sarah Kate was two, and she wanted to name him "Doctor Turner" after our vet, Lorye Turner.  We went with "Doc" instead.
