Once upon a time, I took a photography class.  Digital was unheard of at that time, and we had photo assignments each week that required us to shoot slide film (yes, slide film - very unforgiving and impossible to tweak).  One of the weekly assignments was to photograph the color red.  My red photos H-O-N-K-E-D.

Flash forward to February 2011 - I decided to try my hand at the color red and see what I got.  This shot isn't SOOC, but it's very close - tiny bit of punch and a little vignetting added, but that's it (other than the watermark, of course).  I don't generally "do" macro, but I like this one.

Day 34 - Please Look At Me

Let me just start off by saying: this picture honks. There is absolutely nothing technically good about it. It took all of my limited PSE knowledge to get it to this point (i.e., the point where I would actually post it). I didn't even want to put my watermark on it.

But...I am sharing it, anyway, because it makes me smile. Nathan was in his pack 'n' play this morning trying to get my attention. He kept pressing his little face and hands against the mesh, and I kept laughing (so he kept doing it). This photo represents my ordinary/extraordinary life.

Day 33 - 2/2 Time

Back in the days when I had a darkroom instead of broadbrand, I used to shoot in black & white and handtint, often selectively.  Thought I'd try my hand today at an old technique achieved in a new way.
